Looking at poems

How dose the speaker show feelings about authority in Hawk Roosting?

In hawk roosting the story is told from a hawks point of view. In the very first line we see that this Hawk believes he has a higher authority. “I sit on top of the world, my eyes closed.” It gives an image of carmnes and a relaxed attitude, this makes us feel the Hawk belongs in this portion of authority.

Paragraph Julia’s Ceaser

I believe that love and hate can change depending on how you look at the situation. For example in act 2 scean 2 Julia’s Ceaser is killed. While the hole group of attacks stabbes him the killing blow is dealt bye Brutus. Brutus see Ceaser as a farther figure. I believe that despite Brutus stabbing Ceaser Brutus still loves Ceaser however he hates what Ceaser has become. Another motivation for Brutus is his love of Rome. I think this because I have studied the play however is someone were to look apron the stabbing with no contex they would think this is an act of hate.

A woman’s last word

I believe that this poem is referring to the Gardne of Eden. In stansa 5 there is a lot of evidence of this. There are references of red apples and “lest we loose are Edens” when the idea of the Garden of Enden is sergested most of what is being said could be linked to it.

In stansa 3
It says “see the creatures stalking” I believe that this is talking about the snake in the Story of the Garden Of Eden.

soliloquy of the Spanish cloister.

The hole poem is shown in the first line of the poem.

“Gr-r-r—there go, my heart’s abhorrence!”

This is the first line of the poem and its gives us the image of a man who’s hart has been broken. From other evidence in the peom I believe that he is priest who’s has lost faith with God.

WORKING RECCORD

The historical context of the play:
In my opinion the Greeks (are characters) are the Israelis. The Israelis are the Jews, these people were given the land that originally belonged to Palestine. This lead to a war that has been going since the 1950s. The conflict has passed from generation to generation.

My group did Act 1 Seance 9. In are interpretation we use Patroclus body to split the stage. Phoenix and Ajax (me and Gabriel) are on one side while Achilles (bruke) is on the other. The semiotics of are costumes were the colours we chose to where. For all the characters the different collars were representing a diffrent emotain. For Phoenix the shirts go from white to white, this represents the circle that war goes in. Phoenix is an older man so is best suited to be a were of this circle as he has scene it before. With out realising it I used the magic if. Their’s a moment when I reach out to Achileas. This is a action that I would do if I was trying to comfort someone. So when Achilles terns away I can rember times when people have regegected my comfort, this in my opinion lead to a better performance. We decided to tern the lites out because in the stage directions it says the stage goes to darkness. It’s also best when showing that the sceans over.

Capatilism v communisom

Communism
Is a way of life were all people are equall. In an ideal communist sosiety there is no govonent or money. It relies on trust and people work for each other. But normally it ends in desaster with there being a dictator.

Capatilism
People work for them selves property is yours and people own there stuff. This is the typical American form of govonent
